Will England qualify for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar first from Europe?

After victories over Hungary and Andorra England maintained their perfect record but what do they still need to do to confirm their place at next year’s World Cup in Qatar? The victory on Wednesday evening in the match against Poland still will not give a certain promotion, but it will bring England closer to it…

Qatar 2022 World Cup qualifying rounds

The halfway point of the fight in Group I of next year’s World Cup qualifiers in Qatar is behind us. There are no surprises in the table. With full points, England is the leader, which in the meantime won the runner-up in Europe. After wins 4:1 over Albania and 7:1 over San Marino, Poland moved to the second place in the group…

England – 15 Points
Poland – 10
Albania – 9
Hungary – 7
Andorra – 3
San Marino – 0

England will be the favorite of this match. At Wembley they won 2:1, conceding the only goal in the qualifying round so far. However, it should be mentioned that the Poles at PGE Narodowy have not lost since 19 matches, i.e. the clash with Scotland in 2014.

Victory in Warsaw would extend England’s advantage over Poland to eight points and – assuming Albania were to win at home to San Marino – mean a six-point lead at the top.

With four games to go, England could then assure their place at the World Cup with wins away to Andorra and at home to Hungary next month if Poland take points off Albania…

Dreams of World Cup glory could soon begin :))

Our Predictions

1) England to win – 6/10 at William Hill

or if you looking for higher odds

2) England to win, Kane & Lewandowski both to have a shot on target – 3/1 at William Hill
