On 30th August UEFA Champions League 2013 Group stage draw took place. On this phase of competition, ten play-off winners join the 22 automatic entrants at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco.

First, a total of 32 teams is divided into four pots. One from each drawn is assigned to one of the eight groups, named from A to H. As the seeds are based on UEFA’s coefficient system, which guarantees that two teams from the same association cannot be assigned to the same group.

From September 2012, many English supporters will be able to follow some interesting matches played by their favorite clubs. As a matter of fact, there are four English teams that have successfully qualified for the group stage of UEFA 2013.

With Real Madrid , Ajax Rotterdam and Dortmund in the same group, Manchester City is said to be in the worst situation. Within Group B, Arsenal will face Schalke, Olympiacos and Montpellier. When it comes to another club from London, which is Chelsea, the team will have to prove their strength in matches with Juventus and Shakhtar Donetsk. Their last opponent in Group E is very prosperous team, which is this year’s champion of Denmark, Norsdjaelland Farum. Apparently, it is Manchester United that seems to have the easiest task in this season’s group stage. Being placed in Group H, they will fight Braga, Galatasaray and CFR Cluj.
