Mark Webber announces F1 exit!

Australian, Mark Webber (8/1 with bet365 to win the British Grand Prix on Sunday) has announced that he will quit Formula 1 at the end of the season to race sports cars for Porsche. The 36-year-old, has acted as number two in recent times to three-time world champion Sebastian Vettel, who heads the drivers’ standings again this season.

Mark, a veteran of over 200 Grands Prix, has opted for a fresh challenge in 2014, departing Red Bull after a seven-year association. Red Bull team boss Christian Horner is confident that Webber will continue to push hard for the rest of the season, saying: “I am sure Mark thought long and hard before making what has no doubt been a very difficult decision. “His achievements in Formula 1 are extensive and I am sure he will continue to push hard and build on that record until the end of the season.”
